Microdochectomy in Nonpalpable lesion of Nipple Discharge from a Unilateral Single Duct

Abstract

|
Microdochectomy was made in 20 of 24 women who were performed by galactography and had complaints of bloody, serosanguinous also clear watery discharges from a single duct. Their histologic results were intradutal papilloma(single/multiple) in
11(8/3)
patients, fibrocystic disease in 5, duct ectasia in 3 and papillomatosis with sclerosing adenosis in 1 patient.
Microdochectomy is recemmanded the treatment and the diagnosis of choice in a surgically significant nipple discharge from a single duct due to facilitationg an accurate histological diagnosis and remaining minimal postoperative defect of breast.
